Mark Hedges, editor of Country Life said:  “This promises to be the great gathering of the field sport and rural communities in 2016 – the celebration of our interests, passions and way of life”.

Cornbury Park, the family home of Lord and Lady Rotherwick and a working estate, is well known for the Wilderness Festival, as well as for hosting country events. Lord Rotherwick said: “ The estate presents all the elements for a country sports showcase; and with excellent access points and tried and tested roadways that ensure good traffic movement, it is the perfect venue.”

Dogs will be welcome for a series of informal scurries and there will be a dedicated lurcher area plus gundog assessments and eye clinic.

A falconry mews will have birds ranging from barn owls to golden eagles and Shooting Times columnist Simon Whitehead will gather a team of expert rabbiters and net-makers at the Pugs & Drummers (ferrets and rabbits) stand.
