This Christmas, Kew Gardens has teamed up with entertainment promoter Raymond Gubbay to open its gates after dark and present an illuminated trail through Kew’s wintry landscape.

As well as the illuminated one-mile trail that will make its way through the famous Botanical Gardens, there will also be the boutique Christmas village comprising of traditional stalls, festive music, delicious treats and vintage rides.

Experience the captivating show of lights, a shimmering lakeside, a huge circle of fire created by hundreds of torches and The Waterlily House where you can admire the giant lotus flower that cast mesmerising shadows on the pool below.

Adam Farrar, Kew’s Head of Venue Hire and Events, says, ‘this year we are offering visitors the unique opportunity to wrap up warm and wander through Kew’s Arboretum after hours.

‘You may have seen Kew in glorious summer bloom, but you have never seen it glow in the dark. An exquisite illuminated trail will provide a magical winter experience and a completely different way to see the Kew landscape.’

Kew will be open after dark from Thursday 28th November until Saturday 4th January 2014.
Evening tickets will be £12.50 for adults; £8 for children; £38 for family tickets; under 5’s go free
