Property picture of Woodhouse Fields, Uplyme

Ashurst Cottage, an individual detached cottage style house is delightfully situated on the slopes of Woodhouse Hill on the edge of the village of Uplyme.

Porch - hallway - kitchen/breakfast room - utility room - cloakroom - sitting room - conservatory - dining room - first floor - large landing - master bedroom with large balcony - 2 further bedrooms - bathroom - outside - garage with 1 bedroom annexe - parking - large gardens extending to approximately 0.5 acre

Situated in a private, no through road on the slopes of Woodhouse Hill, Ashurst Cottage is delightfully situated in this peaceful setting on the edge of the village of Uplyme. Believed to have been built in the 1930's the property has been sympathetically extended over the years to create this individually styled property. Of particular interest is the secluded gardens which surround the property. A driveway provides parking for several vehicles and in turn leads to a garage with adjoining self contained one bedroom annexe. To fully appreciate this secluded, but not isolated location a viewing is recommended.

Uplyme offers facilities for everyday requirements, including a Post Office and Stores and a filling station with shop. There is a lovely church, village school, village hall, cricket club, playing fields and tennis court. The market town of Axminster, with its main railway connection to Waterloo (approximately 2 3/4 hours), is about 5 miles to the West and Bridport is some 11 miles to the East. The coastal resort of Lyme Regis, with all the day to day amenities one could require, is about 1 mile away. Taunton and Exeter are within a radius of about 30 miles, with access to the M5 motorway. The county town of Dorchester is a similar distance away.

DIRECTIONS: From the Lyme Regis TEAM office in the centre of the town proceed up Broad Street and take the right fork into Silver Street. Continue straight on this road towards Uplyme and turn left into Venlake lane opposite Rohaise Court. Continue straight across the crossroads carrying on into Venlake Lane and at the bottom of this road take the right fork, sign posted to Woodhouse Hill. After approximately 500 metres and just after the turning to a property called 'Old Woodhouse', turn right into a rural lane (with a Bridlepath signpost) and Ashurst Cottage will be found towards the end of the lane.

The accommodation, with approximate measurements, comprises:-
