Meet the Tudors
Sunday, 25 May 2008
As Henry VIII strolls around the grounds of the Tudor palace the Executioner is looking for his next victim... make sure its not you! Upset the King and you could be next for the chop!
The Royal Falconer will be displaying and flying the King's private collection of owls, hawks and kestrels. Sample Tudor foods, shop with Tudor traders, play Tudor games and immerse yourself in one of the most important periods in Sudeley's history.
Sudeley was once home to Queen Katherine Parr, the last and only surviving wife of Henry VIII, who is entombed in St. Mary's Church within the grounds. Henry, Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Queen Elizabeth I have all lived at or visited Sudeley.
Why not take the opportunity to visit Sudeley's exhibitions and see the fascinating collection of artifacts from throughout Sudeley's history?
The Tudor costume collection in the exhibitions area meticulously recreates the elaborately bejeweled robes of Henry VIII and his six wives.
