Earls Croome Court is a fine example of a Grade II listed half timbered building in Earls Croome, near Pershore, Worcestershire. It was built in the 16th century by the Jeffery family, and the house was the seat of the Earls of Coventry until the death of the 11th Earl in 2002.
The house was sold by the Earl's widow last year, but the new owners have been unable to keep up their mortgage repayments and the lending bankers have put the property back on the market.
The 10,000 square feet house has leaded light windows, impressive dual staircases, magnificent oak panelling in several of the principal rooms and oak flooring.
There are electronic entrance gates at the end of the long tree lined drive. The grounds include a splendid Atlantic Cedar, a timber-framed period octagonal bird house, a pond, tennis court, paddocks and stable block. There is acottage in need of repair and a black and white barn and granary, both of which have residential planning consent.
