Hunters Moon is situated in open countryside between the villages of Hursley and Braishfield, north of Ampfield Wood, with views over the Test Valley. Hunters Moon is an absolutely beautiful thatched house, Listed Grade II, dating from the 17th century, substantially extended in 1984, timber framed with brick infill and inset small pane casement windows under a newly thatched and wired roof (re-thatched in 2008). There is a formal dining room and a study beautifully fitted with library bookcases and an oak spiral staircase in the centre of the cottage which rises up to the four bedrooms, the main bedroom being vaulted which also has a dressing room and there are two bathrooms.

OUTSIDE

From the lane, Hunters Moon is approached through double wooden gates which lead to a driveway and the Detached Double Garage with flint and brick elevations under a tiled and dormered roof. It has a cloakroom and an outside staircase rises up to a balcony and a games room. This building has the potential for numerous uses.

Surrounding the house are the most beautiful mature gardens with classic cottage herbaceous beds and shrub borders.
