New website www.projectbook.co.uk is set to be the premier online resource centre for British period and listed building restoration projects and an invaluable resource for owners of period and listed buildings who are looking to carry out restoration and renovation work on their houses.

The website includes a searchable directory of craftsmen, contractors and consultants and one for products, services and suppliers, all of which are screened thoroughly before being featured, as well as links to the relevant trade organisations.

In addition, there is a comprehensive jobs board, advertising a range of roles in the sector, such as apprenticeships and environmental, retail, catering, technical and Government posts.

There are also specialist articles written by leading figures in the restoration world, including ‘Restoring interior woodwork', ‘Lime rendering', 'Maintenance of wrought ironwork' and ‘Could your property be a film location?'.

You can organise your building project or link up with other people in the industry by setting up at free account called My ProjectBook, which allows you to send and receive messages, shortlist business details for future reference or apply for jobs or post a vacancy.
