The Sylvia Young Theatre School in Marylebone, renowned for schooling many of today's stars, including Amy Winehouse, Billie Piper, Emma Bunton, Leona Lewis, and Denise Van Outen to name just a few, has come to the market through Knight Frank. The school moved to larger premises in Camden due to demand for space. The property could be acquired for continued educational uses, or alternative uses subject to gaining the necessary consents.

The Victorian buildings were originally constructed as a church school. It became a performing arts school in 1983 and was named after its founder and Principal, Sylvia Young. The total area measures 9,591 sq ft (891 sq m) and includes a library, refectory, rehearsal areas, several classrooms, large studio spaces, offices, bathrooms and changing rooms and a recording studio.

Morgan Allen, Knight Frank, says: 'This property represents a superb opportunity to purchase a substantial D1 educational property in a Central London location. There are a number of attractive period features including the high ceilings and high gable windows, and the fact it has been used as a school means there are numerous spacious rooms ideal for a range of future uses. Externally there are three small enclosed courtyards providing an attractive amount of outdoor space. We anticipate it being converted into residential apartments or continued educational uses, subject to gaining the necessary planning consents.'

The School lies within the Lisson Grove Conservation Area, however it isn't listed. It is close to Marylebone Mainline and Underground Station 500m.

The property at 6 Rossmore Road, Marylebone, London NW1 6NJ is offered for sale freehold with vacant possession for a sum in the region of £4 million through Knight Frank (020 7861 5426)
