Butlers Barn, Dorset, SP5 5QX Guide price £875,000

Situation

Butlers Barn is situated in the charming and secluded village of
Pentridge. The village itself has grown little over the past 200
years and retains the charm and character of a small Dorset
village. There is excellent walking and riding in the surrounding
countryside, which is unspoilt with superb views up toward the
Pentridge Hills and Martin Down. The historic cathedral city of
Salisbury lies just 11 miles to the north. Salisbury has a thriving
shopping centre and an excellent range of social and recreational
amenities including theatre, cinema and restaurants. The area is
particularly sought after because of its excellent range of schools
at all levels in the state and private sectors, including Salisbury
Cathedral School, Chafyn Grove, Godolphin and the boys and
girls Grammar Schools. Norman Court, St. Mary’s Shaftesbury,
Port Regis, Sandroyd and Dauntsey’s are all within reasonable
driving distance of the village. Sporting amenities in the area
include trout fishing in the many chalk rivers and streams, golf on
the numerous courses in the area and racing nearby at Salisbury
(flat) and Wincanton (National Hunt).
