Westertown, Cleghorn, Lanark, South Lanarkshire Offers over £360,000

Situation
Mill Cottage is situated in an attractive rural location which is equi-distant from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The property also has excellent views over open rolling farmland.

Lanark is 6 miles to the south west and is the pretty and famous market town of the Clyde valley. The town has extensive local shops and services that comfortably cater for everyday needs and requirements.

Primary schooling is available in Braehead and secondary schooling is available in Lanark. Hamilton has the nearest independent school and both Glasgow and Edinburgh also have a range of independent schools.

One of the key benefits of Mill Cottage’s location in central Scotland is the convenient access to the Scottish cities of Glasgow (28 miles) and Edinburgh (30 miles). Both cities have extensive retail districts and all of the cultural, higher educational, professional and leisure services normally associated with major international centres. The M74 is also about 12 miles distant giving direct access to Northern England.

The town of Lanark has a main line rail station with a regular service to both Glasgow direct and Edinburgh via Motherwell.

Surrounding countryside offers much in the way of outdoor pursuits. Fishing is available by permit on a number of local lochs and rivers, notably the excellent trout fishing on the Clyde, while field sports opportunities are also available locally. The surrounding quiet country roads offer good hacking and as with most parts of Scotland one is never too far from a golf course. Lanark is no exception with the historic club housing the challenging 18 hole parkland course, with a further three clubs nearby.
