Description

The Property
Grebe Cottage and Little Grebe Cottage are a pair of period cottages, both detached, and as the name suggests Grebe Cottage is the larger of the two and sits centrally within the delightful gardens. The two properties together offer not only a comfortable home but an opportunity to create an income stream, using either house as a holiday let, somewhere to work from home or similar. A summary of the two cottages are as follows;
Grebe Cottage is an attractive west facing cottage, constructed of mellow red brick under a pan tile roof. The cottage enjoys well proportioned accommodation with light and airy rooms and good ceiling heights. There is a central dining room, with inglenook fireplace, and a spacious sitting room, also with inglenook fireplace with wood burner, and two sets of French windows opening out to the terrace and garden beyond. At the other end of the cottage is a kitchen/breakfast room with 2 oven Aga, which carries on through to a useful utility with shower. A spacious first floor gallery leads to two double bedrooms and a bathroom. All rooms have lovely countryside views.
Little Grebe Cottage is across the drive from Grebe Cottage, and is also of traditional construction. There is a kitchen and ground floor bathroom, and a large sitting/dining room with stairs up to two first floor bedrooms.
Outside
Grebe Cottage and Little Grebe Cottage share the same drive, approached from the east, through a wooden five bar gate onto a gravelled parking and turning area adjoining both houses. The gardens and grounds are a particularly attractive feature and compliment the rural position the houses enjoy. To the west of Grebe Cottage is the main expanse of lawn, with a mature silver birch and hedging on the boundary. A paved terrace runs the length of the house, with a lavender bed adding colour, as well as a fig tree. The lawn sweeps round to the south to a further garden, enclosed by mature hedging, with fruit trees. To the east of the house, adjoining the gravelled drive, is a further area of lawn. A wooden shed is to the north of the house.

Mains water and Electricity to both cottages, each cottage has its own septic tank.
