Arrivain House is a well maintained traditional 18th century property, at one time a hunting lodge on the Breadalbane Estate. The house is principally of white painted stone construction under a pitched roof which was totally re-slated in 2010. An extension over 2 floors on the western elevation has increased and improved the bedroom and bathroom accommodation and over the last year or so the house has undergone a significant programme of modernisation making Arrivain House a very comfortable home and decoratively well finished country house.
An entrance vestibule leads to the reception hallway with cloakroom and wc, the morning room has an open fire, the sitting room adjacent has a log burning Jotul stove.
The dining room overlooks the terrace and has access to the kitchen and on to the utility room and porch.
Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has a tiled en suite wet room and wc.
The first floor is by a staircase which is split at the ¾ landing and leads to the full landing to bedroom 2 (master) with en suite bathroom and dressing room/study, bedroom 3 and a wc.
Off the ¾ split is access to the rear hallway to bedrooms 4, 5 & 6 as well as a further bathroom.
Arrivain House is warmed by oil fired central heating, private water supply and drainage by private septic tank.
Outbuildings directly to the rear of Arrivain
House include a 2 level corrugated iron clad

Arrivain House is set amidst the rugged natural beauty of Glen Lochy between the villages of Dalmally and Tyndrum. It faces south over the glen to the River Lochy with Ben Chuirn dominating the local landscape and providing a dramatic and impressive backdrop. The A85 trunk road and the Oban-Glasgow rail line runs through Glen Lochy enabling excellent accessibility to the south and west which includes a London rail sleeper service from Tyndrum (4 miles).
Tyndrum has a fuel station and local shops which easily cater for everyday needs and requirements; Oban (34 miles) supports a wide range of shopping, recreational facilities, banks, building societies and professional offices. There are a number of primary schools, a high school, a leisure centre and a hospital.
Primary schooling is available in the district and secondary education is available in Oban.
Surrounding countryside is some of the most scenically dramatic on the west coast of Scotland. There is interesting walking country and for the more adventurous, challenging hill climbs and mountaineering. Skiing is available at Glencoe and the Nevis range. As with most parts of Scotland one is never too far from a golf course and Arrivain House is no exception with a 9 hole course at Taynuilt and other 18 hole courses around Oban and at Killin. For the field sportsman/woman there are opportunities to fish by permit for trout and salmon on the local rivers and lochs and some of the local estates run commercial shoots as well as allowing stalking by prior arrangement.
