The Wooden House is a 5 bedroom home with two open plan living areas and a sun lounge. One bedroom is en suite with family sauna and shower. The view from the front of the house streches from Mealista along the rugged coastline to the Flannan Islands, with St. Kilda being visible on a clear day. Behind the house raises a range of hill, among the highest on Lewis.
In all the feu extends to about 0.102 hectares. At the upper end of this feu are the stone walls of an old blackhouse. Inside are 4 wooden outbuildings that have been erected. At present, they are mainly being used for the working process of weaving tweed.
Within a radius of 5 miles from the location of the house are the UK’s second highest cliffs, are two large sandy beaches, lies a chain of gneiss hills offering from their summits wide views over moors and coastal bays. Hiking down the coast south of Mealista a breeding colony of shags will be passed, red deer, grey seal, otter and egale will, occasional, be spotted.

(596m) occupies one of the remotest parts of the
community of Uig renowned for the wild beauty of its
landscape. The local village of Timsgarry accommodates all of your day to day amenities.
