Cashlie is an outstanding period country house set in the much sought after loch-side village of Kilmun in beautiful Argyll. Nestled between the River Eachaig at the mouth of the Holy Loch and the National Park, with magnificent views of the loch and surrounding countryside, the south-facing property has two sitting rooms, four bedrooms, formal dining room, dining kitchen, music room, family bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite and utility rooms. The truly fantastic gardens must be walked round to fully appreciate the size, beauty and thoughtfulness that has been afforded to the layout. An undeniably magnificent family home in an idyllic location.
The picturesque village of Kilmun is surrounded by natural beauty, sits on the banks of the Holy Loch and has outstanding views, not only of the loch and the Firth of Clyde, but also the surrounding hills and countryside. The area, which is approximately seven miles from Dunoon and on the edge of Scotland’s First National Park, is well served with a post office / mini market, hotel, pub, golf and bowling clubs, medical centre, churches and a fantastic primary school which has just been awarded the Green Flag. The popular, and ever expanding, Holy Loch Marina is just a few minutes drive away at the other side of the loch.
There is also a regular bus service to Dunoon making the supermarkets, shops, hairdressers, eateries, pubs, sports and sailing clubs and cinema etc easily accessible. In addition, there are two ferry links to Gourock with rail and coach links meaning that Glasgow city centre is little more than an hour away, with Glasgow Airport, Braehead Shopping Centre and Greenock even closer.

GARDENS
You cannot fail to be impressed as soon as you pass through the double gates into the property. Classy, elegant, aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable describe the magnificent gardens from one corner to the next. Two statues of lions sit impressively over the entrance to the sweeping driveway which curves to the property and a turning / parking area at the far end of the house.
Mature trees, lawn, bushes, hedges and shrubs add colour and splendour with the stone-walled pond at the front entrance adding a touch of class. Outhouses, including a fully equipped summer house, provide further options for entertaining or working from home, as does the patio area which can be accessed via the kitchen.
The enormity of the gardens are borne out by the fact the top quarter could easily be transformed into a good sized paddock; thus appealing to anyone with horses or ponies.
Similarly, anyone with thoughts of development could be accommodated as the land could be sub-divided into several plots.
In truth, words and pictures can only partly describe the glorious gardens – a walk round is imperative to fully appreciate the splendour.
