Country Life Restoration of the century - in association with Jackson-Stops & Staff

This major new award aims to celebrate the variety and importance of recently-undertaken restoration work to England's historic buildings.

The criteria for entry were purposefully wide: nominations could be for any residential property or associated building, be of any scale - a great house, a cottage or even an important room - and be in any context, either rural or urban. The restoration could also be of any stylistic character, in that it could be in keeping with the period of the original fabric or be contemporary in style. In this way it is hoped that the competition will have attracted the widest possible spectrum of nominations. All work had to have been completed in the last decade. sumbit your restoration

Entries are judged not simply on the scale or ambition of the project, but the qualities that underpin them. Of particular importance is the sensitivity to any historic fabric, ingenuity of approach and fine craftsmanship.

While the judging visits take place over the summer, we would like to know which of the shortlist you rate the most highly. To score a project, simply click on the number of stars you think it merits.
