Ludwig Schöne, who came from Saxony, was one of the most successful architects of the Ringstrasse era due to the building boom of the Wilhelminian period. Schöne designed countless buildings, not only in Vienna, but also in the territory of the Danube Monarchy, especially in Hungary. The range of his work was enormously broad. In addition to residential buildings, hotels, official buildings and factory complexes, he planned above all Protestant and Catholic churches and a large number of synagogues.
