Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) structure ensures the highest insulation level to keep heat and sound out, cool air in and withstand a full blown hurricane. The house is easy to cool, Every room has its own A/C control plus an additional control panel for the entire home (with remote access) in the master bedroom. Windows and exterior doors are wood-grain aluminium and hurricane proof. Electric shutters secure all ground level windows and doors.
The grounds of the property were elevated to protect it from ocean surges. The ocean-side patio has electric screens to filter the hot sun-rays but not the views.
