This prestigious historical property for sale, is located in the hamlet of a small town, Casale Litta, on the hills of the Varese area. It is a fascinating and prestigious ex-Benedictine monastery complex from the 1200s. Inside it has a small church still officiated, probably built over an ancient Longobard oratory. Inside the houses, many doors are original, in solid oak or chestnut. As well as some floors of beola and Lombard cotto from the end of the 18th century, some of which are also variegated. The ceilings are mostly wood paneled, original, with exposed beams, some of which are decorated. Each house has at least one fireplace. Overall there is a large wine press of the '300, in perfect condition. The property is 12 km from Varese, 55 km from Milan, to which it is connected by rail and highway, and about 17 km from the Milan Malpensa airport. Nearby there are several lakes, Corgeno, is the closest, 3 km. It has a cycle path that runs alongside it, connected to that of Lake Varese, with a total of 42 km of pedestrian and cycle track. Lake Manate at 8 km, beyond the lakes Maggiore, Orta, Ghirla and Lugano.
