Klosters im Prättigau, with 4,500 or so inhabitants, celebrated its 800-year jubilee in 2022, commemorating the first time that the place was documented. It owes its name to a former abbey, the Klösterli im Walt. This burned down in 1621, leaving nothing more than the Romanesque tower standing.
