NFU fights EU pesticide proposals
NFU vice president Paul Temple has gained support in his fight against EU pesticide proposals

EU pesticide proposals that were labelled 'disastrous' by the NFU yesterday today face further opposition from European food producers, according to NFU reports regarding Paul Temple's presence in Brussels.
NFU (national Farmers' Union) vice president Paul Temple is being supported by Peter Chapman from the UK Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD).
A PSD study on pesticides concluded the proposed European Parliament report would reduce plant protection availability by up to 85% in the UK.
NFUs in Brussels have subsequently asked other Member States to instigate investigations into the EU's proposals.
