Featuring many typical items from a country house sale, from candlesticks to trinkets, there are also a large number of items from China and Japan. From simple netsukes to elaborate Chinese paintings, collectors of this kind of work will be interested in the many various lots on offer this month.
Pale green jade brush pot from the 18th century
Highlights include a meticulously carved Chinese pale green jade brush pot from the 18th century valued between £12,000-£18,000 and some beautiful handscrolls, oil paintings on silk and woodblock prints.
Chinese art is very much of the moment, as Asian Art Specialist, Dr Iside Carbone has written on the Bonington's blog, which takes a look at the substance of Masterpieces of Chinese Painting: 700-1900 at the Victoria and Albert Museum last year and Gems of Chinese Painting: A Voyage along the Yangzi River at the British Museum this year.
The sale will be held at Ambrose House, Old Station Road, Loughton, Essex, IG10 4PE; http://www.boningtons.com; Tel: +44 (0) 20 8508 4800.
