Mahonia Soft Caress

RHS PLANT OF THE YEAR 2013: Mahonia Soft Caress is now available from the Country Life Nursery

Graceful and soft-leaved, Mahonia Soft Caress is descended from the Narihira mahonias bred in Japan and was only released into the nursery trade late last year. Unlike the familiar stiff, bristly and sombre mahonias languishing in many a garden, Soft Caress is more suggestive of ferns, palms or bamboo, but is small enough for pot culture (described in COUNTRY LIFE, December 26, 2012). The COUNTRY LIFE Nursery is the only current stockist of the plant in the UK- to buy yours now, visit our dedicted nursery page for a discount on mahonia soft caress, or clik through the image above.

Country Life

Country Life is unlike any other magazine: the only glossy weekly on the newsstand and the only magazine that has been guest-edited by HRH The King not once, but twice. It is a celebration of modern rural life and all its diverse joys and pleasures — that was first published in Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee year. Our eclectic mixture of witty and informative content — from the most up-to-date property news and commentary and a coveted glimpse inside some of the UK's best houses and gardens, to gardening, the arts and interior design, written by experts in their field — still cannot be found in print or online, anywhere else.
