Medieval tithe barn in Oxfordshire
Huntercombe Manor Barn is an important medieval Tithe Barn in the Chilterns AONB which has enormous potential to become a private dwelling

Huntercombe Manor Barn is a rare chance for a buyer to secure an historic and very large Tithe Barn, which is Grade II listed and comes with an Edwardian former stable wing.
Located in Nuffield, and comprising a very large brick and flint building of around 4000sq ft, the building has a vaulted interior revealing an impressive timber-beamed construction. The barn was remodelled in an Arts & Crafts style at the beginning of last century, and the fenestration was also altered by way of oak-framed leaded windows with tall oak doors, while the Edwardian stable and coach wing was constructed at the same time.

The roof was felted, insulated and retiled in 1988. At the rear is a timbered cloister with a paved walkway under the main roof; in recent years the property has been the home of a bespoke antiques business. Outside are secluded lawned gardens to the front and rear.
Planning was granted in 2009 for the conversion of the barn to two residential dwellings, and work was begun, which means the planning has been preserved indefinitely.
Nuffield is a small Oxforshire rural community just six miles from Henley-on-Thames, while the historic town of Wallingford has excellent shops, just five miles away.
The guide price is £900,000.For further information please contact Knight Frank on 01491 844 900 or visit www.knightfrank.co.uk.
