Irish Soda Bread
Ask any foreigner to name their favourite Irish food and chances are they will say 'soda bread.' Find out how to make it at home.


Ingredients1/2 lb flour1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda1 tsp cream of tartar1/4 tsp salt1/2 tsp sugar1/4 pt buttermilkMethod:
- Mix all the dry ingredients.
- Add buttermilk and work into a stiff dough.
- Bake at 200 C for 25-30 minutes or until the bread makes a hollow sound when tapped underneath.
