Gardening gifts: The Gluttonous Gardener
The perfect source of gifts from chutneys, coffees and plants

Formerly a garden designer and landscaper, Ned Trier found himself with spare time in the winter months, which he filled by creating The Gluttonous Gardener. The founding principle behind the company is that the perfect gift should provide instant delight (in the form of food/drink), as well as a longer-lasting pleasure for years to come (a plant).
The whole range of gifts from chutneys and berries to coffees and gins, is available to order from 020-7627 0800 or www.glut.co.uk. The Gluttonous Gardener cultivates most of its plants in its Orchard Cottage nursery in Berkshire, and all gifts are handpacked to order by the six-man team on the day of dispatch.
The staff take great pride in the presentation of the packages, which all arrive in wooden crates, lined with wax paper and finished with large, raffia bows.

Exquisite houses, the beauty of Nature, and how to get the most from your life, straight to your inbox.
Country Life is unlike any other magazine: the only glossy weekly on the newsstand and the only magazine that has been guest-edited by HRH The King not once, but twice. It is a celebration of modern rural life and all its diverse joys and pleasures — that was first published in Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee year. Our eclectic mixture of witty and informative content — from the most up-to-date property news and commentary and a coveted glimpse inside some of the UK's best houses and gardens, to gardening, the arts and interior design, written by experts in their field — still cannot be found in print or online, anywhere else.
