Imposing Scottish mansion
Braelossie House is an imposing 'B' listed Scots Baronial mansion on the outskirts of Elgin

Braelossie House is believed to have been built for Alexander Lawson, a local businessman and factor for the Earl of Fife, in 1862. Constructed of sandstone under a series of pitched slate roofs, architecturally, the house is particularly attractive with various turrets with fish scale slates, crow stepped gables and stone pediments.
For many years, the house was a hotel and restaurant, however in 2003, the property was purchased by the present owners who sympathetically and comprehensively renovated it back into a magnificent family home of great character.
The property comprises 7 bedrooms, a gym, garden stores and about 2 acres.
Rod Christie of sales agents CKD Galbraith says: 'Braelossie is undoubtedly one of the most striking houses in the county and is extremely well known to the residents of Elgin, many of whom would have enjoyed evenings there when its was a popular Hotel and restaurant. The current owners have done an excellent job in renovating the property, creating a magnificent family home yet still offering enormous potential to run it as a B&B,. guest house or boutique hotel.
