The Kennel Club‘s prestigious annual Dog Photographer of the Year competition is now open for entries for this year’s contest.

There are four categories in which you can enter: Dogs at Work, Dogs at Play, Dogs Portrait and Man’s Best Friend, plus a special category for entrants aged 16 and under entitled I Love Dogs.

The winning photograph will be on display at the Discover Dogs event at Earl’s Court in London in November, and will be reproduced on the cover of the Kennel Gazette, the Kennel Club’s flagship publication.

The overall winner will also receive a Lomo Diana camera and a copy of Dogs by Tim Flach.

The winners of each category will be presented with a framed print of their photograph. The 16 and Under category winner will win a day out with professional dog photographer Marc Henrie, a digital camera and a year’s membership of the Young Kennel Club.

To enter, download the entry form and send it to the Kennel Club, along with your photograph and entry fee (which will be donated to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust), by August 31.
