Calling all brilliant photographers
Entries are being sought for two British photography awards

Vicky Wilkes, Country Life's Picture Editor, is one of a prestigious panel of judges tasked with adjudicating this year's British Life Photography Awards (BLPA).
The competition, which offers photographers the chance to win Sony products worth £6,000 by entering 10 categories covering everything from rural life to portraiture, as well as an award for the best image of historic Britain, aims to celebrate British life and culture through original imagery.
‘I'm really excited to be on the judging panel this year and am looking forward to the great variety of photography that's bound to be entered,' says Vicky, who's been commissioning top-class images for the magazine for the past five years.
Open to all photographers, whether amateur or professional, entrants have until September 20 to submit images (www.blpawards.com).
The search is also on to find the UK's landscape photographer of the year. Now in its eighth year, the Take A View contest offers a £10,000 prize for the winning image. All entries must be uploaded by July 11 (www.take-a-view.co.uk).
