Georgians exhibition at the British Library
A range of historically accurate dress-shaped biscuits has been created as an accompaniment to a new exhibition on the Georgians at the British Library
The sumptuous gowns in paintings by Gainsborough, Turner and Constable look good enough to eat and, now, visitors to the British Library (BL) can do just that.
The London baker Biscuiteers has created a range of historically accurate dress-shaped biscuits to tie in with the BL's ‘Georgians Revealed' exhibition (which runs until March 11, 2014). They come in three colours (gold, blue and floral) and cost £6 each.
Visit http://shop.bl.uk to see the full range of Georgian-related merchandise, which includes masks, jewellery, coasters and a ‘Georgian insults' pack of badges labelled Wench, Dandy, Scoundrel and Rascal.
