Rehome a Dogs Trust dog this November

The next dog in our Dogs Trust rehoming series is the lovely Poppy, a three year old Foxhound, who is on the hunt for a new family.

Gentle and perfectly happy with other dogs, Poppy, although shy at first, has lots of energy and is very eager to learn. She loves running around paddocks and playing with her toys and would love a family to build up her confidence.

Ella Tonge, Dogs Trust Loughborough Supporter Relations Officer says, ‘Poppy is a lovely and sweet natured gentle giant. She can be a bit shy upon first meetings but once she gets to know you she will be a constant companion and a great addition to the family.

‘One of Poppy’s favourite past-times is to run around chasing her squeaky toys, needless to say she loves playtime! She is still very active and eager to learn and will do anything if gravy bones are involved!

‘Ideally Poppy would like to live with another dog who can show her the ropes and would thrive with young owners who can help use up some of her bags of energy.

‘We have visions of Poppy curling up in front of a nice warm fire and would love it if her new family could offer her this added extra.’
