A to Z of the CLA Game Fair 2015

A is for Arundell Arms, the Devon fishing hotel that always provides a warm welcome, and Artists’ Row where you will be tempted to spend money

B is for Baily’s Hunting Directory, Beagle Products, which sell mole traps, and the Beretta Gallery for all things shooting

C is for Country Life, on stand H398, where there will be discounts of up to 40% and bottles of Bollinger for new subscribers

D is for Dubarry Boots

E is for Etching, of which artist Keith Sykes is a talented exponent – find him at the Red Spot stand – and gunmaker E.J. Churchill

F is for Fishing – watch a master caster at work – Falconry displays and the Ferret Roadshow (stand Y1096) where there will be ferreting masterclasses

G is for Gundog competitions, which take place each day, Game cooking, with chefs in competition at 1.30pm in the Cookery Demonstration Theatre on Friday and Saturday, Gunmakers’ Row and Gamekeepers’ Row

H is for Hound parades, Horses (Express Eventing is on Sunday) and Harewood House, home of the Earl and Countess of Harewood

I is for farmhouse Icecream, the Inverawe Smokehouse and Ian Greensitt sculptures

J is for Jack Russells, which will be everywhere, and Just Cartridges, a handy delivery service

K is for Kayaking which will be on offer for the first time

M is for Mitsubishi Motors, which will be providing off-roading fun

N is for Neal’s Yard Dairy and Naturally Selina Scott – the former newsreader now makes mohair socks from her goats

O is for Owen Paterson; the former Defra Secretary and Game Fair regular will participate in the pivotal debate ‘Landowners and Wildlife: Friends or Foes?’ at 2pm on Friday

P is for Prince’s Trust, the official charity for the Game Fair

R is for Red Spot, a group of wildlife and sporting artists including Tania Still and Ben Hoskyns with a wonderful and varied selection of work

S is for Shopping until you drop and the Schools Shooting Challenge to get young people shooting

T is for Tottering-by-Gently memorabilia, which you will find next to Country Life, and Taste [of food and drink] which two leading chefs can help you with in a food-sampling exercise, supported by Country Life, in the Cookery Demonstration Theatre

U is for Upland Hydrology Group, Ultimate Ear Covers and UK Covers

V is for VIP hampers provided by Champers & Hampers which can be ordered in advance and enjoyed on the specially designated picnic lawn, and Great British Village, a new themed shopping area featuring food and drink, rural crafts, traditional village life and fashion
