Somerset shoot to let
Two of the three shoots on the Kilmersdon Estate in north Somerset are being put up for tender in February

Two of the three shoots on the Kilmersdon Estate, a traditional sporting estate in north east Somerset come back in hand in February 2010, providing a rare opportunity to offer shooting rights over 2,800 acres of rolling farmland and woodland.
The Owls Nest and Kilmersdon Shoots are well established partridge and pheasant shoots providing for a wide range of gun experience. Savills (01722 426832) are offering the two shoots to let by tender as a whole or in two lots.
Kilmersdon lies 6 miles to the south of Bath. There are no game keepers currently employed on the estate and Savills note that deer stalking rights are specifically excluded from the tender.
The Kilmersdon Shoot covers an area of approximately 2,000 acres, the majority of which is tenanted arable and pasture land. Woodland and spinneys total approximately 170 acres. The Owls Nest is smaller: rights cover an area amounting to 821 acres.
