Scottish castle near Edinburgh for sale
Dunimarle Castle is a wonderful castle which occupies a fantastic position near Edinburgh, although the interior does need some TLC

Dunimarle Castle dates back to 1840 and was built to make the most of the spectacular views out over the river. The property comprises a picturesque castellated tower adjoining an earlier Georgian manor house, and although the exterior of the house is perfect, the interior requires complete renovation.
The accommodation comprises at present: entrance hall, eight reception rooms, study and eleven bedrooms plus a wonderful picture gallery. Further to the castle and set within the grounds is St Serfs Chapel which was designed by Ronan Anderson around 1872.
Outside the gardens are confined to the castle terraces and the bastion gardens, the latter of which has a central sunken rose garden. The castle terrace leads to the terraced walk plated with Irish yew along the south front of the walled garden from which a path leads along the wooded slopes to the Chapel and lower gardens.
