Secluded country house on Wiltshire/Hampshire border

Chute Collis was designed and built for Captain Anthony Morse RN, who later became a Rear Admiral, in 1936. Captain Morse was well documented as placing temperature gauges across the south west of England in order to find the most temperate climate: Chute Collis in fact has its own microclimate and it was thus that this spot was chosen for his property to be built.

The reception hall has a staircase leading to the first floor and doors to the principal reception rooms. The drawing room is well proportioned and has an attractive central open fire and stunning southerly aspect. Double glazed doors open to the conservatory which opens again to the flagstone terraces on either side. The study has fitted shelving and double aspect views to the south while the dining room is next to the kitchen and also has doors to the terrace for outdoor entertaining. The kitchen has an Aga and wonderful views to the west and has a larder and from here stairs lead down to the wine cellar.

The principal bedrooms all have wonderful views to the south. There are six to eight bedrooms and four bathrooms with three reception rooms providing flexible accommodation.
